Sydney Breaux
Support Guide
Sydney is a born and raised Texan who, after earning her bachelor’s degree in English at Texas State University, found herself working at an AMI Montessori school in Austin. She was immediately drawn to the method and felt called to a career in working with children with a mindful, curious, respectful, and uplifting approach.
Sydney believes that every child has their own unique strengths and perceptions of our world and that with proper social and emotional support, our children can flourish to become healthy, resilient, and kind people as they age into adolescence and beyond. She believes that children are more capable and wise than what many adults may perceive them to be, and that grown-ups have just as much to learn from children as they have to learn from us!
She is always excited and honored to be able witness play and discovery with children, and aid them in their social-emotional development. Sydney is passionate about the outdoors, art, and literature, and hopes to share her enthusiasm with her students.
In her free time Sydney loves reading, baking, and two-stepping around Austin’s honky tonks. She also enjoys hiking, kayaking, and birdwatching, and is always pleased to help identify plants and birds that share our playground!
